Just friends is just fine: Just Friends Adult Day Service seeks volunteers as either senior companions (assisting with activities, conversation and games) or walking coaches (walking with participants inside Columbus’ Mill Race Center). Be nifty and assist the thrifty: Sans Souci (French meaning “without worry”) needs helpers to hang clothing, sort donations and stock shelving at its thrift store in the United Way of Bartholomew County parking lot, 1526 13th St. in Columbus. Extending compassion while celebrating life: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana seeks caring volunteers to provide companionship to patients and families living with an advanced illness. Other volunteer options include helping with clerical tasks or at fundraising events. Must participate in orientation, training and ongoing education.
