Rhett Myers, Columbus East senior track athlete
Myers won both the shot put and discus in the Olympians’ dual-meet losses to Bloomington North and Columbus North. Against the Bull Dogs, he threw a school-record 167 feet, 7 inches in the discus.
His performance last week:
“I think I performed to the best of my ability, especially in the discus. But shot put, I still need to work on a little bit and get back to where I was last year. But I was glad I got the points for my team.”

“I get a little bite to eat after school and just relax and get my mind focused.”

Heather Feiles, Jennings County senior softball player
Feiles threw a five-inning perfect game and went 2 for 2 at the plate in the Panthers 10-0 win against Madison. She also went 2 for 3 in a 5-4 loss at Hauser.

“I work hard in practice and put faith in my teammates.”
