Hope selects new town manager

HOPE – A Franklin resident with extensive government experience will become the new Hope town manager on June 1.

The appointment of Tom Morton as administrator for the community of 2,100 residents was unanimously approved Monday by the Hope Town Council.

Chosen from seven other candidates, Morton was the unanimous choice of an interview panel that worked extensively with Hope clerk-treasurer Diane Burton, police chief Matt Tallen, and utilities manager David Clouse, town council president Clyde Compton said.
