Wrestling group donates food to agencies

Hoosier Pro Wrestling’s 14th annual Fill the Shelves fundraiser recently resulted in a donation of more than 400 pounds of food to the Love Chapel food pantry, and more than more than 150 cans to local America and Roby Anderson Community Center.

Another collection of donated canned goods will go to a few local church food pantries, said Jerry Wilson of Hoosier Pro Wrestling.

The outdoor event was conducted at Aaron’s on National Road in Columbus.

Wilson’s organization also regularly hosts a Fireman’s Cheer Fund fundraiser that generates several hundred dollars plus donated toys for the cause which provides toys and food baskets to struggling local families at Christmas.
