HOPE – The public will have the opportunity Monday to meet the new town manager.
A one-hour reception for J.T. Doane will begin at 5 p.m. in the council chambers of Hope Town Hall, located at the northeast corner of Jackson and Harrison streets.
The Hope Town Council approved Doane’s appointment June 29, allowing the former administrator in the Indiana Attorney General’s office to succeed Melina Fox, who resigned Feb. 5 after about 18 months on the job.
The reception for the 38-year-old Bargersville resident, who began overseeing and managing day-to-day operations for the northeast Bartholomew County community of 2,100 residents on July 11, will take place just prior to a 6 p.m. town council meeting.
