Donald Ray Gabbard, 71, of North Vernon, died at 9:18 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at Jennings Health Care in North Vernon.
Survivors include a son, Patrick Gabbard of North Vernon; brothers, Sid (Reba) Gabbard of North Vernon and James H. Gabbard of Dupont; sisters, Georgia L. Day and June (Ray) Franks both of North Vernon and Marie (Jim) Howell of Ohio; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Debra Carol Gabbard.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating and military graveside rites provided by members of Matt Hester Post No. 2021, V.F.W. Arrangements were entrusted to the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.
