If recent history is an indicator for the future, Mill Race Marathon runner registration should take a healthy jump in the next four days. Runner totals made a one-week leap of 500 last year leading into the annual Sept. 1 registration rate increase.
As of this week, the number of runners had increased 142 during the prior week to a total of 2,676. Among races, the biggest year-over-year increase so far is the 5K, which is up 11 percent.
Registration fees for the Sept. 24 Mill Race Marathon running events through Wednesday are as follows:
•$75 for the full marathon
•$60 for the half-marathon
•$25 for the 5K
