Ronald and Nancy Spurgeon of Columbus will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by the sons and their families from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 1 at New Hope Christian Church Family Life Center.
Mr. Spurgeon and the former Nancy Greathouse were married Sept. 25, 1966, at Berean Bible Church by the Rev. Jerry K. Day Sr.
Mr. Spurgeon retired from Cummins Inc. and Mrs. Spurgeon from First Financial Bank.
The couple have three sons, Ronald Curtis (Angie) Spurgeon, Joseph A. (Christy) Spurgeon and Benjamin E. (Laura Kate) Spurgeon.
