Janice R. Bradshaw, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:49 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1940, in Butlerville, the daughter of Glen and Dorothy (Poling) Leahigh. Janice was born and raised in Butlerville, had been a Westport resident for 45 years and had been a Bloomington resident for the past eight years. She graduated from North Vernon High School in 1958. She retired in 2008 from Cummins Engine Company after 50 years of service. She was a member of the Westport Baptist Church and also the Stoneridge Baptist Church in Bloomington.
Janice had a traveling group of friends that worked together and enjoyed traveling together for over 30 years.
She married Marshall Bradshaw in Butlerville on May 21, 1960, and he survives. Other survivors include her daughters, Pam (Greg) Stone of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jenise (Scott) Roane of Bloomington; her sons, Greg (Denise) Bradshaw of Fort Wayne and Jon (Cheri) Bradshaw of Zionsville; her brother, Larry (Sandy) Leahigh of North Vernon; and a grandson, Lance Bradshaw of Zionsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Ponsler.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport, with Pastor Andy Gaschke and the Rev. David A. Scaggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Butlerville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016, at the funeral home.
