COLUMBUS, Indiana — Columbus police are searching for a male suspect involved in an armed robbery at a hotel on the city’s west side.
Columbus Police Department officers were dispatched to the La Quinta Inn & Suites, 101 Carrie Lane, a shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call that an armed robbery had just occurred.
After officers arrived, they spoke to an employee who said a man entered the hotel and demanded money, department spokesman Lt. Matt Harris said.
The employee said a handgun was displayed during the robbery, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency, he said. No injuries were reported.
