Memorable events from the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay are being shown in a documentary commissioned by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development.
“Everlasting Light: The Story of Indiana’s Bicentennial Torch Relay” is a 37-minute documentary produced by the Department of Telecommunications at Ball State University.
The documentary is scheduled to air three times on WFYI public television in Indianapolis, at 9 p.m. Feb. 9, 4:30 a.m. Feb. 15 and 10 p.m. Feb. 25.
The relay traveled through 260 cities and towns across all of Indiana’s 92 counties. The torch was carried a total of 3,226 miles by 2,242 torchbearers, culminating in a Hoosier Homecoming celebration at the Indiana Statehouse.
