Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal accident which happened at about 4:30 a.m. at County Road 900E and Lakeshore Drive North in the Schaefer Lake area.
Deputies said the driver, identified as Jesse James Jackson, 34, Hope, was ejected from his vehicle after it left the west side of County Road 900E and hit a tree. The vehicle then caught fire, deputies said.
