Jenny’s Picks – February 23

The elementary, middle and high school I attended was a public performing arts school. Although ballet was part of the curriculum, school dances never happened. I’m now too old for this one, but I hope all Bartholomew County high school students will head to Dance Marathon from 6 p.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday at Central Middle School, 725 Seventh St. All county high school students are invited to join the fun, with dancing, food, games, prizes and more. All seniors in attendance will have a chance to win one of three $2,000 scholarships. Plus, participants learn about domestic violence prevention. Register at eventbrite.com; search Dance Marathon 2017. Cost: minimum $20 donation.

Do you have your tickets yet? Local performers Jill Tasker and April Knox appear in “Grace and Glorie” 7 p.m. March 9 through 11 at The Harlequin Theatre, FairOaks Mall. It’s a great chance to catch some local theater and support Columbus-based talent.
