Shoe Carnival has opened its newest Indiana location in Columbus.
The store, which has been under renovation in Columbus Center off National Road for several months, had a soft opening Thursday, a Shoe Carnival spokeswoman said from the company’s headquarters in Evansville.
The 5,500-square foot store has 12 employees and is the first store of the franchise to locate in Columbus.
A grand-opening celebration is being planned for this summer, Rodgers said.
In addition to the Shoe Carnival, another new business is coming to Columbus Center. Ulta Beauty is renovating a 9,000-square-foot storefront near Shoe Carnival and is working toward a summer opening. The full-service salon is expected to have about 20 employees, said Carolyn Sutphen, a company spokeswoman.
