Panthers stop Bull Dogs
BLOOMINGTON — Colubmus North has at least one and possibly two games against Bloomington South in the next two weeks, so coach Ron McDonald didn’t throw No. 1 pitcher Madisyn Prince against the Panthers on Tuesday night.
The Panthers put up 14 runs and 14 hits in claiming a 14-8 victory.
Bailey Lofton went 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs for the Bull Dogs (1-19). Sierra Norman went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, and Brooke Bruin went 2 for 4 with a triple.
Eagles outscore Crusaders
Columbus Christian outhit Traders Point Christian 11-6 but committed 10 errors in a 21-19 loss in a game that was called after six innings because of darkness.
Savannah Spurgeon went 3 for 4 with a double for the Crusaders (2-4). Hannah Stair went 3 for 4.
Eagles edge Monrovia
MONROVIA — Emma Summers threw a five-hitter and went 3 for 3 at the plate to lead Brown County to a 2-1 win at Monrovia.
Taylor Poling went 2 for 3 for the Eagles (13-5).

North falls to Carmel
CARMEL — No. 12 Columbus North ran into the state’s No. 1-ranked team and fell 4-1 at Carmel.
Yijaing Zhao beat Frannie Werner 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the lone win for the Bull Dogs (15-3).
North’s Aubrey Smith fell to Lauren Lemonds 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Madelyn Sanders lost to Kristen Carlson 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. Shweta Srinivason and Servanne Cloteaux fell to Grace Marchese and Aquna Monas 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Ali Bergman and Ellen Carson lost to Julia Miller and CeCe Katz 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
Braves slip past Jets
HOPE — Indian Creek won three matches in straight sets to hand Hauser a 3-2 loss.
Madie Sherman beat Brooke Coy 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (5-2). Abby Johnson and Tori Chandler downed Mya Piccone and Mekenzie Hunter 6-1, 5-7 (10-7) at No. 2 doubles.
Hauser’s Alana Owen fell to Katie Burkman 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Catherine Bruer lost to Ali Harris 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Sarah Tedder and Annie Ashbrook fell to Sara Knight and McKayla Russell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

MARTINSVILLE — Martinsville pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 singles to claim a 3-2 win against Brown County.
Elisabeth Huls beat Maggie Viewegh 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles for the Eagles (5-6). Vanessa Hoskins and Jacey Ferguson downed Bethany Elmore and Emily Seger 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Brown County’s Hallee Miller fell to Zoey Viewegh 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-3 at No. 1 singles, and Baelyn Koester lost to Ali Viewegh 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Sarah Barrick and Maria Villalon fell to Ali Wilt and Karissa Wamper 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Yellow Jackets nip Lancers
EDINBURGH — Morristown claimed a pair of three-set wins to pull out a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference victory at Edinburgh.
Allie Schooler beat Alyana Munson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Lancers. Heather Jones and Molly Bowker downed Carly Shortridge and Kirsten Payne 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Edinburgh’s Sydney Schlotter fell to Kenzie Logan 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 singles, and Haley Jones lost to Teresa Gonzalez 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Hannah Gosman and Sophia Parmer fell to Patience Wood and Hailey Dunham 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Salem topples Trinity
SALEM — Trinity Lutheran won at No. 1 doubles, but that was all in a 4-1 loss at Salem.
Macey Prewitt and Lauren Fleetwood triumphed 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles for the Cougars (2-10).
Abby Schult fell 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, Leah Stuckwisch lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, Sidney Hoene fell 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Lauren Voss and Cassidy Burnside lost 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Jets fall to Batesville
HOPE — Class A No. 5 led 1-0 after five innings, but Batesville rallied for a 5-1 win.
Evan Shaw went 2 for 3 for the Jets (11-5). Staring pitcher Cameron Hartog threw four scoreless innings.
Lancers down Tigers
EDINBURGH — Coltan Henderson threw a three-hitter to lead Edinburgh to a 5-1 win at Crothersville.
Henderson and Tristen Browning each had two RBIs for the Lancers (7-10).
Salem rallies past Trinity
SALEM — Salem scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally for a 6-4 win against Trinity Lutheran.
Ross Kruse had two hits for the Cougars (8-7).

Panthers take second
SEYMOUR — Jennings County finished second in a tri match at Shadowood. Floyd Central won with a 153 to 192 for the Panthers and 211 for Seymour.
Justin Gasper led Jennings with a 44. Bryce Kirchner carded a 48, Austin Roscoe and Hunter Conrad each shot 50, Keegan Beal added a 53, Joe Kelly had a 56, Samson Miller and Connor Cook each shot 57 and Adam Leach finished with a 58.
Warriors topple Lancers
FRANKLIN — Whiteland posted a 170-233 win against Edinburgh at Legends Golf Club.
Bladen Hancock led the Lancers with a 44. Brayden McManaway carded a 58, Gavin Hancock added a 63, Kegan Jones shot 68 and Zach Burton had a 70.

Bull Dogs top Olympians
Columbus North won eight of the nine events Monday in a 207-126 win against Columbus East.
Josh Holley led the Bull Dogs with wins in the long jump (12 feet, 1 inch), 100 (14.6 seconds) and 400 (1:08.1) for Unified athletes.
Tim Farrell took the shot put (34-1½) for Unified athletes.
North’s Nathan VanDeventer won the long jump (19-3¼) and 400 (57.6) for peer athletes. Bailey Hester took the 100 (12.3).
East’s win came from Tyler Thomas in the shot put (43-9½) for peer athletes.
