The Ecumenical Assembly of Bartholomew County Churches, otherwise known as Love Chapel, recently thanked its volunteers with a dinner and dedication.
The June 8 event at the Columbus North High School cafeteria drew a crowd of 150 to 175 people for a time of praise and celebration.
Volunteers were reminded of their impact on the community through God’s grace. Love Chapel Executive Director Elizabeth Kestler thanked volunteers for showing their “fruits of the spirit” while serving the community with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

About 200 volunteers within the community help carry out Love Chapel’s mission and vision to support and strengthen those in need through Christ’s love in action. Many volunteers have served five, 10 and even 25 years.
A meal of fish, hush puppies, French fries, salad and ice cream was served, along with a chocolate fountain.
