FLAT ROCK — Milestone will begin full-depth reclamation work today on existing State Road 252 pavement at Flat Rock, weather permitting.
Motorists may be delayed during the next several weeks when traveling on State Road 252 between the Flat Rock River and Lewis Creek bridges, the Indiana Department of Transportation said. The highway remains closed between Interstate 65 and the town of Flat Rock, which is in southwestern Shelby County.
The work is part of a $12 million rehabilitation project that is widening, reconstructing and resurfacing seven miles of State Road 252 between the interstate and Flat Rock. The project includes bridge work over Lewis Creek and the Flat Rock River and replacing several drainage structures.
