Ron and Phyllis Byrnes of East Forster Avenue plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their daughters from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 1 at First Church of the Nazarene on McClure Road.
Mr. Byrnes and the former Phyllis Waltz were married Sept. 30, 1967, at Evangelical Methodist Church by Mr. Byrnes’ father, the Rev. Donald Byrnes.
Mr. Byrnes retired from Cummins Inc. where he worked 35 years.
Mrs. Byrnes retired after 33 years with Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp.

The couple have two daughters, Lisa Adams of Columbus and Leah Byrnes of Southport. They also have two grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
