Dennis and Virginia Moats of Columbus are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary with a cruise to the Galapagos Islands.
Mr. Moats and his wife, the former Virginia Ross, were married Dec. 16, 1972, at University Lutheran Chapel in Terre Haute.
He retired as a Bartholomew County emergency manager.
She is retired from Dunn and Associates.

They have two children, Bob Moats and Matt Moats, and one grandchild.
