Garden City Church of Christ — Guest speaker James Cha will conclude Missions Emphasis Week with the message, “Jesus Christ Has All Authority,” from Matthew 28:18-20, during the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 3245 Jonesville Road. Cha, a former missionary to Uzbekistan and Kyrgystan, is the Washington, D.C., area coordinator for Crescent Project.

St. Paul’s Episcopal — Stations of the Cross will be offered beginning at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday and continuing on Wednesdays during Lent, prior to evening prayer at 5:45 p.m. at the church, 2651 California St. Participants imitate the practice of visiting the places of Jesus Passion in the Holy Land by liturgically engaging in meditations and prayers at 14 stations — pictorial representations recalling a series of events at the end of Jesus’ life from his condemnation to his burial.
Starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday and continuing each Wednesday through March 21, the congregation will share a simple Lenten soup supper while delving into C.S. Lewis’ “Screwtape Letters.

Flintwood Wesleyan — Amplify (nontraditional) at 9 a.m. and The Well (traditional) at 11 a.m. will both be led by Pastor Wes Jones in the main sanctuary of the church, 5300 E. 25th St. The Prayer Team will meet at 8 a.m. and Sunday school classes will be at 10 a.m. in their regular rooms. Adult choir practice will begin at 5 p.m. followed by the evening service at 6 p.m.
The women’s study group, Connections, meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month upstairs in Curry Hall.
A Christian Journey with Paul will meet at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday in The Friendship Center. New members are welcome. Prior classes are not necessary.
On Wednesday, the Prayer Team will meet at 6:15 p.m., the youth group will meet at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study will meet at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbus — The Rev. Nic Cable will deliver the message, “Bridging Abundance,” during the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 7850 W. Goeller Blvd. The congregation will learn of the societal practice of bridging social capital and building a diverse community grounded in the abundant values of inclusion, love and justice.

First United Methodist — At the 9 a.m. Traditional and 11 a.m. Celebration services Sunday at the church, 618 Eighth St., the Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message, “Living Values: Reflection.” Scripture will include Mark 1:9-15.
All are invited to the Midweek Service and Brown Bag Lunch beginning at noon Wednesdays during Lent in the chapel.
The February book club will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the library to discuss “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt. All are welcome to attend.

Westside Community — Pastor Dennis Aud will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd. His message will be “The Value of Clarity,” and Scripture will include Acts 8:26-40. The children’s program up through Grade 6 will meet at the same time as the worship service.
A six-week DVD study, “Kingdom of Marriage” by Tony Evans, will be from 7 to 8:15 p.m. each Wednesday. Participants will be encouraged to tap into the power of God by seeking his design for marriage.

St. Paul Lutheran — Pastor Doug Bauman will deliver the message, “The Lamb Provided,” based on Genesis 22:1-18, at the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday at the church, 6045 E. State St.
The theme for Pastor Bauman’s sermon for the 6:45 p.m. Wednesday Lenten Service will be based on the hard sayings of Jesus, “Hate Your Family,” as defined in Luke 14:26. A hymn sing will precede the service beginning at 6:30 p.m. A light meal also will be served from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room for a free-will offering.

Old Union Church of Christ — The message, “Bound to Earth; Destined for Heaven,” will be delivered by Pastor Kirby Rupp at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 12703 N. County Road 50W, Edinburgh. Scripture will include Genesis 9:8-17; 1 Peter 3:18-22; and Mark 1:9-15. Sunday school will convene at 9 a.m. with fellowship to begin at 9:40 a.m.

First Presbyterian — First Sunday Lenten service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 512 Seventh St. The Rev. Tonja Gerardy will preach the sermon, “The Time Is Fulfilled,”and a choir will lead in worship. Infant and toddler care will be available from 9:15 to 11 a.m.
The men’s and women’s support groups meet at 7 a.m. Fridays. A second men’s support group meets at 6:15 a.m. Mondays.
People in need of a meal are invited to the Hot Meals program offered at 5 p.m. Friday, with entrance through the glass doors on Franklin Street.

First Baptist — The Rev. Dan Cash will deliver the message, “Fits and Starts,” with Scripture from Mark 1:9-15, during the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive. First Presbyterian — Dale Rogers, former organist at North Christian Church, will play a concert featuring music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Guilmant and Jerome Kern on the 47-rank Casavant pipe organ. The event begins at 3 p.m. March 11, and will take place in the church, 512 Seventh St. Admission is free. An offering will be taken.

Community Downtown — DivorceCare, a 12-week support group for adults who are separated or divorced, will begin its first session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 522 Seventh St. There will be a $15 fee for the participants guide. Space is limited and registration is required.

Flintwood Wesleyan — GLOW, God Lights Our World, will begin at 6:15 p.m. with supper at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 5300 E. 25th St.
Scout Troop 588 will host a fundraiser pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday in The Friendship Center. Scouts are also collecting non-perishable food items for a local food pantry. Anyone interested in contributing is asked to bring donations to the church.
The church’s annual Heart of Ministries dinner and auction will take place at 6 p.m. March 2 in The Friendship Center. All proceeds go towards funding local and global ministries.
