East graduate drives in eight runs in DH split
Sam Claycamp had six RBIs Sunday to lead Franklin College to a 13-4 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win against Bluffton in the first game of a doubleheader.
The Columbus East graduate had an RBI single, a solo home run, an RBI double and a three-run double in that first game. He added a two-run double in the second game, a 6-5 loss for the Grizzly Cubs (20-2, 5-1).
Donner Swim Club plans signups, evaluations
Signups and evaluations for Donner Swim Club’s summer session will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Columbus North High School.
Swimmers ages 4 and older of all abilities can be evaluated for the club.
Edinburgh hosting Red and Black fundraiser
Edinburgh will host its 2018 Red and Black fundraiser and silent auction at 6 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafeteria. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.
Raffle items will include a Lancer Stadium Seat, Chicago Cubs Not Just Popcorn tin, Lancers gameday baseball hat, Lancer Cornhole board set and two free 18-hole rounds to Timbergate Golf Club.
Silent auction bundles will include:
•Four one-day park hopper passes to Walt Disney World, Taylorsville Tire oil change and Casey’s General Store $50 gift card for gas
•Two box seats for Indianapolis Indians game, Indianapolis Colts drawstring bag (filled with various goods), Pacers hat autographed by Bojan Bodganvic and two t-shirts from Hoosier Sporting Goods
•Edinburgh Pool family summer pass, Rascal’s Fun Zone family ticket, four haircuts from Sherman’s and four Indianapolis Motor Speedway hats
•Four Urban Air Trampoline park passes, Highway Lanes bowling passes and two Casey’s General Store large pizzas
