NORTH VERNON
Robert Eugene England, 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.
He was born on April 19, 1944 in Westport, the son of James H. and Dellar May (Roach) England.
He was born and raised in Westport.
He had been a resident of Arizona for 15 years and a North Vernon resident for the past 20 years.
He had served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam era and was a member of the American Legion Post in Madison.
He had worked for Standard Roofing in Phoenix, Arizona.
He enjoyed gardening.
He married Carolyn Sue Morrow in Letts, Indiana on August 12, 1966 and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Laura England-Lord, Mary Ann (Danny) England-Parrish both of Surprise, Arizona and Anita A. England of North Vernon; his brothers, Eddie Lee England of Greensburg, Curtis Allen England and Lester Michael England both of Westport; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia May England; sisters, Ruth Ann McIntosh and Gladys Stegemiller; brothers Willis “Bill” England, Carlton England and James England.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Aerie Cemetery with military graveside rites. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
