St. Paul Lutheran — Pastor Doug Bauman will deliver the message, “Passing the Test,” based on I John 4:1-11 at the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday at the church, 6045 E. State St. All family and friends are invited to hear confirmands Stella Arnholt, Simeon Bauman, Teag Branaman, Rylee Davidson, Andrea Justis, Brody Kirkland, Faith Otte, Delaney Roxbury, Jesse Schroer and Grace Wiltsey offer their confession of faith at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Room. Their confirmation service and first communion will be during the 10:45 a.m. service May 13.
Vacation Bible school will be held from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. June 24-28 at the church. Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbus — Special guest Lesly Levin will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 7850 W. Goeller Blvd., and will reflect on Judaism and interfaith partnership.

Westside Community — Associate Pastor Dennis Aud will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd. The children’s program up through grade 6 will meet at the same time as the worship service.
A six-week women’s Bible study, “Anxious for Nothing” by Max Lucado, will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday and explore God’s treatment plan for anxiety, found in Philippians 4:4-8.
The Outlet youth group for grades 7-12 will meet from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Sunday evening at the church.

Old Union United Church of Christ — The message, “But that He Loved Us,” will be delivered by Pastor Kirby Rupp at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 12703 N. County Road 50W, Edinburgh. Scripture will include Acts 8:26-40; 1 John 4:7-21; and John 15:1-8. Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m., with fellowship at 9:40 a.m.

First Presbyterian — The Rev. Felipe Martinez will preach the sermon, “Abide in Me,” during the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday at the church, 512 Seventh St. Scripture will include John 15:1-8. Livin’ by Faith will lead the congregation in worship. Infant and toddler care will be available from 9:15 to 11 a.m.
The men’s and women’s support groups meet at 7 a.m. every Friday. A second men’s support group meets at 6:15 a.m. Mondays.
People in need of a meal are invited to the Hot Meals program offered at 5 p.m. Friday, with entrance through the glass doors on Franklin Street.

Petersville United Methodist — The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the sermon, “From You Comes My Praise: Guide My Steps,” during the 9 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 2781 N. County Road 500E, Petersville. Liturgist Joe Bush will share the Scripture, Acts 8:31, and Teresa Covert will give the children’s message. The choir will provide special music. A time of fellowship will follow the service and the pastor will continue with the study, “Shaped by God’s Heart,” at 10:30 a.m.
The Monday night Bible studies will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Nolting and Kimerling homes. The Sit ‘N’ Stitch group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at the Nolting home. Choir practice will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and the Prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
The Administrative Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The United Methodist Men’s group will meet at 7:15 p.m. May 6.
Pentecost will be celebrated at the May 20 worship service held outdoors with a bonfire on the east side of the church. Attendees are encouraged to wear red clothing and bring lawn chairs.

Grace Lutheran — The Rev. Tom Going, former pastor of the church, will lead worship and preach at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. services Sunday at the church, 3201 Central Ave. Sunday school for all ages will begin at 9:25 a.m.
The Junior Confirmation classes will continue from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Searching Scripture class, a study of Luther’s Small Catechism, will continue at 6 p.m. Tuesday with a discussion of confession and forgiveness. Snacks and child care will be available.

Flintwood Wesleyan — Amplify (nontraditional) at 9 a.m. and The Well (traditional) at 11 a.m. will both be led by Pastor Wes Jones on Sunday in the main sanctuary of the church, 5300 E. 25th St. The Prayer Team will meet at 8 a.m. and Sunday school classes will meet in their regular rooms. Adult choir practice will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the evening service at 6 p.m.
The women’s study group, Connections, meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Friendship Center.
A Christian Journey with Paul meets at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday in the Friendship Center. New members are welcome. Prior classes are not necessary.
The Prayer Team will meet at 6:15 p.m., the youth group will meet at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary.

Fairlawn Presbyterian — A recital featuring Broadway and opera selections will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, 2611 Fairlawn Drive. Soprano Jenny Heichelbech, tenor Felipe Martinez and bass Doug Sprunger will sing solos, duets and trios accompanied by pianist Dianne Sprunger. Admission is free.
The voice students of Jenny Heichelbech will present their spring recital at 4:30 p.m. May 19 at the church. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

Taylorsville First Baptist — A revival with evangelist Jammie Vance will take place at 7 p.m. each night starting Sunday and ending May 2 at the church, 9118 S. Main St. Guest singers will include Westward Road, Terry Branham and the T-Ville youth band. All are welcome to attend.

Flintwood Wesleyan — GLOW, God Lights Our World, will start at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 5300 E. 25th St., with supper from 5:30 p.m.
The Flintwood Outdoor Market will open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the first Saturday of the month starting May 5. Food, craft and clothing vendors will be present along with vendors selling clothing, art, bath and body items. Anyone interested in being a vendor should contact Kim Rutan at the church office.
The church’s fish fry fundraiser is scheduled to take place May 19. Details will be released at a later date.
