‘Derby Day Destruction’ coming to Fairgrounds

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will return to the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds Saturday with “Derby Day Destruction.”

HPW wrestling merchandise will be available at the show.

North schedules girls soccer, boys cross-country callouts

The Columbus North girls soccer callout meeting will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 9 in the school cafeteria for all interested players and their parents. For more information, contact coach Derek Stewart at [email protected].

Mixed 9-hole scrambles coming to Par 3 course

Par 3 Golf Course will host mixed 9-hole scrambles at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning May 15. Players should show up to sign in by 5:15 p.m.

Cost is $8 per player. All skill levels are welcome, and teams will be selected by random drawing.

Family Service’s eighth annual golf scramble will be May 17 at Otter Creek Golf Course.

Three-day Pickleball Clinics coming to Donner Park

Registration is under way for three-day Pickleball Clinics that will be held at the Donner Park pickleball court. Sessions will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 21 to 23, June 25 to 27 and Sept. 17 to 19.

Cost is $45. Equipment will be provided.

Signups underway for broomball leagues

Columbus Broomball is taking signups for its spring summer and fall leagues.

The Summer Session No. 1 Full Ice will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from May 29 to June 26, and Summer Session No. 2 Full Ice will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from July 17 to Aug. 17. Cost for both sessions will be around $40.

The Fall Small Ice League will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays from Sept. 3 to Oct. 1. Cost will be around $25.

North boys basketball to host three camps in June

Columbus North boys basketball will host three camps for youth this summer.

The Elementary Camp for Grades 2 to 5 will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 4 to 7. The Middle School Camp for Grades 6 to 8 will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 11 to 14. The Shooting Camp for Grades 3 to 8 will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 18 to 21.

Cost for each camp is $100, payable to Columbus Revolution. Registration is due by June 2 to guarantee a camp shirt.

North schedules girls basketball youth camp

The 2018 Columbus North Girls Basketball Youth Camp will be June 4 to 7 for girls entering grades 2 to 8.

Sessions for grades 5 to 8 will be from 1 to 3 p.m. the first three days and extended to 1 to 4 p.m. on the last day for a guest speaker. Sessions for grades 2 to 4 will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. the first three days and 2:45 to 5 p.m. the final day.

North coach and Indiana All-Star girls coach Pat McKee, North assistant coaches Brett White and Alan Vickrey, current players from the Bull Dogs’ program and guest coaches will work with the campers. The guest speaker will be Lori Meinerding Morris, the 1987 Indiana Miss Basketball who played at Indiana University.

The fee is $65 for grades 5 to 8 and $60 for grades 2 to 4. Participants are asked to register by May 24 so an appropriate number of camp T-shirts and other items may be distributed on the first day. Registrations after May 24 will be accepted, but a $5 late fee will be added, and a T-shirt will not be guaranteed for late registrants. Registration includes a $5 Subway gift card and two complimentary tickets to the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star basketball doubleheader June 9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Ceraland again will host 2 Good Basketball Camp

The 2 Good Basketball Camp will be from 8 a.m. to noon June 4 to 7 at Ceraland for boys and girls ages 6 to 15.

First Tee golf program returning this summer

Greenbelt and Par 3 golf pro and PGA instructor Keith VanDeventer will lead First Tee classes beginning in June at Par 3 Golf Course.

East girls basketball to host summer kids camp

Columbus East girls basketball coaches and Indiana Basketball Hall of Famers Danny Brown and Willie Humes will lead a Summer Basketball Kids Camp June 11 to 13. The camp will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. for girls entering grades 3 to 6 and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. for girls entering grades 7 and 8.

North to host Volleyball Skills Summer Camp

The Columbus North Volleyball Skills Summer Camp will be June 25 to 28. Grades 2 to 5 will be from 1 to 3 p.m., and Grades 6 to 8 will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Cost is $50 and will include a 2018 volleyball camp t-shirt. Registration is due by June 16.

Premier League soccer team to host camp in Columbus

The West Ham United North American Academy 2018 Player ID Camp will be June 29 to July 1 at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex for boys and girls ages 9 to 18.

The camp will be overseen by senior members of the West Ham United North American Academy coaching staff and will feature coaching methods and drills from the academy. Cost is $150 and includes a camp t-shirt.
