Noma Faye Tiemeyer, 75, of Columbus, passed away at 5:23 p.m. April 28, 2018, at Four Seasons Healthcare Center.

Noma was born June 1, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Willard F. and Noma Hester Powers Young. She married Lawrence Albert Tiemeyer on September 15, 1942.

Mrs. Tiemeyer lived her early life in Green County, Ohio where she graduated from Beaver Creek High School. She was employed by City Savings Company before moving to Columbus. She was then employed by Interstate Financial before working for Reliance Electric until retiring in June 1992. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Helping Hands Home Economic Club and St. Peters Lutheran Church Sewing Circle. She enjoyed sewing and Reading and had traveled to every state in the Union and eleven foreign countries.

The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 2, 2018 at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Patrick Galligar officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Eye Care Program.

Survivors include her son, Michael Tiemeyer of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on June 2, 2015, as well as her parents.
