North graduate ties for seventh in MAC tourney
Ball State’s Michael VanDeventer led the Mid-American Conference Tournament after each of the first three rounds, but ended up settling for a tie for seventh place individually.
VanDeventer, a senior from Columbus North, had rounds of 70 and 71 on Friday, 77 Saturday and 82 on Sunday at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne. He finished with a 12-over-par 300.
Ball State, which led after the first two days of competition, finished second with a 1,199, three shots behind Kent State.
