Joann Carmichael Coles, 84, of Salem, died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Salem Crossing.
Joann was born September 5, 1933, in Columbus, the daughter of Harley and Retha Rudolph Carmichael.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Coles was also a member of the Seymour Church of Christ. She later retired from Lear Siegler.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra (Joe) Swaim of Columbus, son, Gary (Cindy) Coles of Salem; grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Coles, Jeremy (Laura Kate) Coles, Joshua (Tish) Coles, Chuck Swaim and Phillip Swaim; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Coles was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; brother, Harold Carmichael and sister, Imogene Thomas.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Gary Coles and Joshua Coles officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
