I had the pleasure of getting to know Jo Flohr in 2008, when my wife became a volunteer EMT at Southwest Fire Department. Jo was serving on the board, always standing up for the well being of fire firefighters and residents of Ohio Township. She delivered lifesaving technology to our community, such as a thermal imaging camera and training equipment. She made sure the volunteers were appreciated and felt like part of the family.
Her leadership skills are exemplary — often rolling up her sleeves and digging in to the hard work with the rest of us. I have always been impressed with her kindness and warm spirit, as well as her tenacity and determination. Time and again, she has shown integrity by keeping her promises and standing up for the community she loves so much.
I am thrilled she is running for state representative, and I look forward to voting for someone I know I can trust.
