I am writing on behalf of Mark E. Gorbett, who is running as a Republican candidate for District 3, Bartholomew County Council. I have known Mark for 35 years and have personally witnessed Mark’s commitment to public service in our county.
Mark served as sheriff for eight years, and prior to that he served as a merit deputy with Bartholomew County sheriff’s office for 27 years.
During his years with the sheriff’s office, he dedicated his work life to protecting and serving our community. While sheriff, Mark was collaborative in all aspects of his position and administered the sheriff’s office budget with an eye toward protecting citizens and taxpayers.
Mark is experienced at performing budget analysis. He knows what is necessary to allocate funds judiciously, providing for anticipated growth in infrastructure, as well as maintaining a well-balanced county government.
I urge every citizen to cast their vote for the common-sense, business-oriented councilman, Mark E. Gorbett, District 3, Bartholomew County Council.
