Judith “Judi” Karen Jasper Boldt, 79, entered into eternal life May 4, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility with her family gathered around her.

Judi was born July 19, 1938, to Gus Jasper and Hope (Anderson) Jasper in St. Joseph, Michigan.

She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1956. She then attended Michigan State University where she met her husband, John Boldt, and they were married at the Alumni Memorial Chapel on campus March 29, 1958.

They have three children, Ben (Cindy) Boldt, Susan Boldt (Mike) Spagnuolo and Michelle Boldt (Ken) Caravati; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Becky) Spagnuolo, Jonathan (Kelsey) Spagnuolo, Adam (Emily) Spagnuolo, David (Tasha) Caravati and Lauren Caravati; and three great-grandsons, Mikey, Clark and Luca Spagnuolo. Judi was honored to know that her first great-granddaughter, due in June, will be named Sofia Judith.

Judi has a sister, Joretta (Gary) Schneider of Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces, Joan Jasper and her two children, Ian and Claire, Gwen (Jim) Erpenbach and Jenni (Randy) Wylie; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Gail) Boldt and Terry (Claudia) Boldt; along with many nieces and nephews.

Judi lived in various locations; in Michigan for 40+ years, lived and worked in Naples, Florida for 21 years before retiring and moving to Columbus, Indiana 13 years ago to be near her family. Judi has always loved knowing Jesus, singing and missions. She also was a collector of many types of Angel figurines, but her favorite was her “Earth Angel”, Dr. Steven Pletcher, who guided her through the discovery of her Pancreatic Cancer and the treatments that followed. Judi and John have been involved for almost 30 years with Engineering Ministries International (EMI). It has been their passion to see the ministry grow by promoting it since 1998 by exhibiting/recruiting at 85 Secular Conferences all over the United States. Judi will be especially remembered for her love for her family and the special gift of a smile that she had for everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Jasper; and infant sons, Anthony and Matthew.

In keeping with Judi’s wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
