• Martha Erickson for her hard work, love and dedication to her students — another wonderful piano recital.

• Mr. Foiles at North High School, for his dedication to his students and kindness in helping others less fortunate.

• the Medicaid cab driver in the red van who picked me up and took me to the hospital, from Irene Eastham.

• the man who helped me up when I fell down Sunday.

• Brian Adams from B&B Plumbing for installing my water heater.

• Nancy Pearson and Steve Fisher at the Salvation Army.

• Amber at Lowe’s.

• the staff at First United Methodist Church for the thoughtful card, keeping me in their prayers, from Jan Sell.

• all the great students on local high school prom courts, especially Morgan Meier at Columbus East, from Diane and Don Meier.

• our neighbor Jonathan for mowing our hills, from Al and Marge.

Onions to

• those sending Onions about people not helping solve the pick-up/drop-off problem the kids at the elementary school are addressing because there is no problem: the families crossing at that location fixed the problem when they were allowed to simply cross once.

• the bank that charged $72 to a disabled person for a paper fee.

• the boy who was mistreating his young dog at the local apartment complex.

• family members who make you buy weird food for their visit and then don’t eat all of it.

• people who buy and sell drugs all night and keep their neighbors awake.

• people who let their dogs bark early in the morning and wake the neighbors up.

• the one person at the nonprofit organization that makes everybody bring in a dish once a month for a pitch-in.
