Tests are available this month to check levels of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL, HDL and hemoglobin.
The screenings are available by appointment only during the morning hours on May 22 through the Bartholomew County Health Department.
People receiving a cholesterol screening are advised to fast 12 hours beforehand, but fasting is not required for the hemoglobin test.
Screenings will take place at the Bartholomew Health Department, 2675 Foxpointe Drive, Suite B. Participants may register for both screenings.
The cost of a cholesterol screening is $15 and the cost of the hemoglobin screening is $2. Cash, credit and debit are acceptable methods of payment.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 812-379-1555, Option 1, between 8 and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
