Marketplace: Geckler appointed Columbus Redevelopment project coordinator

Kelly Geckler is the new project coordinator for the City of Columbus Redevelopment Department.

Geckler will assist the commission’s public and private improvement projects to grow the city’s economic base. She will serve as a community advocate to build awareness of redevelopment issues, participate in special project teams and assist in conducting studies of future redevelopment and city projects.

A Columbus resident for the last 16 years, Geckler has been involved with various community organizations including Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, Dwellworks LLC, Lincoln Center Figure Skating Club, Energy Matters Community Coalition, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. and First Presbyterian Church.

Geckler is a graduate of Indiana University (masters in social work, 1995) and Manchester University (bachelor of science in business marketing and sociology, 1991).
