Three students named Academic All-Stars

Three area students were named Academic All Stars through the Indiana Association of School Principals. They were honored at a luncheon April 25 in Indianapolis.

Honorees included:

  • Elizabeth Frazier, Columbus East High School
  • Rachel Onken, Trinity Lutheran High School, Seymour
  • Evan Porter, Columbus North High School

Each public and private high school accredited by the Indiana Department of Education may nominate one senior for consideration as an Indiana Academic All-Star. Selection is based on a formula including test cores, academic achievements, courses and extracurricular activities.

Each nominated student submits an essay about his or her most influential educator. The program is supported through Marion University, Indiana University Bloomington and Purdue University.
