COLUMBUS
Eddie J. Rodgers, 74, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker and a nanny for the Guse family for 21 years.
She was a member of Ogilville United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Evan Guse officiating.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Monday.
Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Eddie was born March 8, 1944, in Columbus. She was the daughter of Edward and Alice L. Ritter Oren.
She married Lonnie D. Rodgers on May 26, 1962.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 56 years; her daughter, Robin D. (Greg) Bush of Hope; grandchildren, Gregory (Alicia) Bush II, Kristopher (Christina) Bush and Jacquelynn (Matthew) Boswell; great-grandchildren, Gregory Bush III, Cambria Bush and Emmalee Bush; sisters, Debbie Deyo of Columbus, Donna (Lanny) Murray of Columbus, Diana (Steve) Eubank of Columbus and Dixie Caldrone of Seymour.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randy Oren.
