Columbus police arrested a local man after he was accused of giving a false name to avoid arrest.
Police were sent to the 2100 block of Lockerbie Drive at 8:10 a.m. Friday about an argument in the backyard of a residence, police said.
Officers spoke to three people there, where one falsely identified himself, police said. Officers eventually confirmed his identity as Aaron N. Stickans, 36, Columbus, and determined he had a parole warrant for his arrest.
Stickans was arrested on preliminary charges of false informing and an Indiana parole warrant.
