While millions died in uniform from 1939 to 1945 in the war, the sons of Fred Ellsworth Zeigler and his wife, Amy Alka Zeigler, were among the fortunate who survived.
Harold, Fred Jr., Willis, Bob and Buck Zeigler all returned to south central Indiana to pick up their lives as civilians.
