Letter: Consider Forste for IU trustee

From: Jan Nugent

Columbus

Columbus, Indiana, is a beautiful town known for its remarkable architecture. Columbus residents who are Indiana University alumni have a unique opportunity to elect one of its own to the Indiana University Board of Trustees.

Dr. Robert Forste graduated from Indiana University in 1968, and in 1971 from the IU School of Medicine. Since leaving campus life, Rob has remained an active alumnus, serving on several boards, and has received prestigious awards, including the Otis R. Bowen Award for leadership and the Maynard K. Hine Award for service to IUPUI.

He has been a football and basketball season ticket holder for 37 years, and truly loves his school. With the opening of the IU School of Art, Architecture + Design in the former Republic building on Aug. 10, this is an appropriate and meaningful time for a Columbus resident to represent IU on the board of trustees.
