COLUMBUS
Frieda C. Richardson, 67, of Columbus, passed away June 18, at her home.
Frieda was born in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, to Carnie Hoskins and Nell Fuqua Hoskins.
She was a loving, generous person who impacted those she met with her passion for God.
It was obvious to everyone that her greatest happiness were her grandchildren.
She was so loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Richardson of Columbus, with whom she started Richardson Home Improvement in 1987; her son, Joseph Gerald Staten of Columbus, her daughter, Sheena (Cliff) East of Columbia, Mississippi, her stepson, Bobby Richardson of Indianapolis, her stepdaughters, Christa (Tony) Eldridge, Angela (Jurika) Triska and Amanda (Keith) Goldman, all of New Palestine; and her grandchildren, Ashley Staten, Annagrace Davies, Isabella Staten, Blake Polk, Bronxton East, Knighten East, Chynna Triska, Savannah Harter, Samantha Eldridge, Tony Eldridge Jr. and Kristen Goldman; her sisters, Linda Hoskins and Helen Hoskins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carney Hoskins, Nell Fuqua Hoskins; her brothers, James Hoskins, LV Hoskins, Sam Hoskins, Wayne Hoskins, Danny Hoskins, and her sisters Evelyn Cape, Shirley Cape, Mary Adams and Jeanie Chew.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the The Sanctuary, 3939 Central Ave. Columbus. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the church with Pastor Dan Mitchell officiating. The committal service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Washington Park East Funeral Center, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, with calling hours from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Entombment will be at the Washington Park East Cemetery Mausoleum.
