The fourth annual Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Youth Academy wrapped up recently.
This year 114 local children registered for the academy, and hundreds of children have participated in the academy since it began, Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said.
The purpose of the academy, Myers said, is to:

Promote an understanding of the law enforcement,
Strengthen life skills such as self-respect, respect of others, teamwork, and commitment to goals
Participate in hands-on, interactive educational activities, and physical training activities

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department
Columbus Police Department
Indiana State Police
Indiana Conservation Officers
Indiana State Excise
Bartholomew County Emergency Management
Homeland Security
A graduation ceremony was conducted Friday at Ceraland’s gym.
