Three athletes from Donner Swim Club helped Team Indiana to a sixth-place team finish in the Central Zone Open Water Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Daniel Utterback swam in the 13-14-year-old boys age group and finished third for Team Indiana and 27th overall. In the 13-14 girls age group, Ellie Proffitt took eighth for Team Indiana and 47th overall, while Paige Maddox was 11th for Team Indiana and 60th overall.
To qualify for Team Indiana, swimmers need to achieve a national time standard in a freestyle event during the qualifying period, which ended in early June. They swam a 3K at the Central Zone.
