Marketplace: Columbus Regional Health Wound Center recognized

The Columbus Regional Health Wound Center has been recognized with a national award for clinical excellence.

Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, awarded the center with the distinction. The center achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days to heal, for a minimum of two consecutive years.

Some of the treatments offered at the center include negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes to the wound, offloading or total contact casts and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, according to a statement from the hospital.
