Eight students from Bartholomew County were recently recognized by U.S. Rep. Luke Messer for their academic achievement during the 2017-18 school year.
Individuals were recognized June 11 during a ceremony at Batesville Middle School and received an eighth-grade scholar award.
Local students who received the award include:
- Hauser Junior/Senior High School students Callie Swegman and Jonas Fleenor
- Northside Middle School students Gabrielle Schuetz and Evan Carr
- Central Middle School students Zari Bruch and Matei Cloteaux
- St. Bartholomew Catholic School students Claire Lyvers and Matthew Goble.
