Seventy racers rode to Columbus City Hall on bicycles, motorcycles and even unicycles to kick off the second annual Columbus Young Professionals Amazing Race.

Sally, a 5-year-old mule owned by Wes and Joyce Robinson of State Road 58, fell into an abandoned well where she remained for four hours until members of Southwestern Bartholomew Fire Department and a reserve sheriff’s deputy, 16 people in all, rescued her using shovels, axes, chainsaws, ropes slings and a backhoe.

Employment in Columbus shot up to 15,329, its highest level since March of 1967.
