Duncan tied for 36th in Quicken Loans National

Tyler Duncan birdied four of his final five holes to fire his second consecutive 1-under-par 69 Friday and make the cut to the final two rounds of the Quicken Loans National at TPC Potomac.

Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, is tied for 36th place at 2-under 138 through 36 holes. Beau Hossler, Ryan Armour and Bryan Gay share the lead at 9-under 131.

North graduate ties for 6th in women’s amateur

Recent Columbus North graduate Danbi Kim, who is headed to Bluffton University, carded a final-round 3-over-par 75 Friday to finish in a tie for sixth place with a 225 in the Indiana Women’s Amateur Championship at Hillview Country Club.

North graduate Tobi Herron shot 77 in the final round and tied for 11th at 227. North grad Holly Anderson, who will be a junior at Ball State, tied for 27th at 235 after a final-round 82. Nathaly Munnicha, who will be a sophomore at North, had a final-round 78 and tied for 36th at 236.

Julia Potter-Bobb of Indianapolis rallied with a final-round 69 to win by six shots with a 213, her fifth Indiana Amateur title.
