Information meeting planned on proposed confined feeding operation

Two speakers will conduct an informational meeting on large-scale livestock operations in Hope next week.

John O’Halloran of Columbus, who made his concerns regarding the negative consequences of confined feeding operations (CFO) known to the Hope Town Council on June 19, will be one of two speakers.

The other will be Bartholomew County Assessor Lew Wilson, who is expected to address the impact that CFOs have on neighboring property values.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the Hope United Methodist Church, 432 Washington St., just east of the Hope Town Square.
