COLUMBUS, Ind. — Local children can stock up for the school year with free backpack filled with school supplies, which will be provided as part of a nationwide giveaway event.
The Columbus “School Rocks Backpack Giveaway” will take place at the Verizon TCC store at 2075 W. Jonathan Moore Pike from 1-4 p.m. July 22.
As part of a campaign by various TCC and Wireless Zone stores around the country, each participating store will donate up to 220 backpacks to local youth.
Inside of each backpack, children will find pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, glue and more.
Backpacks will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
