Woman flown to Methodist after near-drowning incident

A woman was transported by Lifeline helicopter to Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis after a near-drowning incident in a home pool.

Kimberly Vester, 46, is listed in stable condition at Methodist after the incident at 2:22 p.m. Saturday, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Vester was swimming in a friend’s pool in the 11000 block of County Road 150E when she went under water, deputies said. The friend called for her son, who was inside the home, and he pulled Vester from the pool, deputies said.

When deputies arrived, a firefighter was administering CPR to Vester, deputies said.
