• Norris Automotive for fixing our Honda’s air conditioning before vacation.

• Linda Martin for getting me to the hospital for surgery, from Carolyn.

• the Bartholomew county 4-H Fair Board for providing an awesome fair this year.

• Camilla’s Restaurant for highlighting Columbus architecture as part of its decorating.

• Pam Moran for taking me to Parkside Baptist church on Sunday, from Margie Peach.

• Steve Poindexter for the outstanding work he did repairing a bad ceiling crack and the expert painting and repairs he did to our house inside and out, plus the great power-washing job, from Dick and Shirley.

• the city for new State Street bridge and the landscaping and the sidewalks, which are beautiful.

• Bryan Ballard and Mark Boswell for a great demolition derby Saturday night, from Kroot employees

• the helpful man and his mother for helping me get in my car at the store parking lot on Whitfield Drive when I locked by keys in it.

• Jeff Fields who helped me get into my car when I locked my keys in it and the young girl who also tried to help.

• Mill Race Center and its awesome staff for the array of classes, health programs, crafts and awesome workshops and affordable dues.

Onions to …

• Trump for causing the trade war.

• peoples who create a hazard parking on the road rather than giving $5 to the local organization running the parking at the 4-H fair.

• people who hate hearing hosts and guests of the “Morning Joe” show who let the American people know the truth.

• the farmer who came over into our yard, that the county does not mow on County Road 50N, and made a mess of it.

• Columbus landlords who charge rent that is too high.

• people who object to their neighbors’ legal use of fireworks.

• neighbors who continue to set off fireworks after the Fourth of July.

• bicyclists who completely ignore the stop sign at 30th Street and Griffa Avenue.

• those who are so disrespectful to elderly people, children and animals by continuing to use firecrackers from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

• myself for driving 60 mph down Rocky Ford Road just to prove that road diets don’t slow cars down.

• the memorial on 25th Street that needs better upkeep.

• the man who struck his dog while walking it along Rocky Ford Road on Sunday morning.

• the man that had a yacht seized, a plane seized, signed over hotels, bankrupted several businesses including casinos, stiffed contractors millions of dollars and is calling for NATO members to pay their bills.

• people who set off fireworks past midnight and blow them up against people’s windows.
