East golfer wins Southern Masters series event
Kody Reynolds carded a 1-over-par 145 for 36 holes last weekend to win the Indiana Golf Association Southern Masters series event at Sultan’s Run in Jasper.
Reynolds, who will be a sophomore at Columbus East, had rounds of 74 and 71. Drew Smith, who will be a senior at Columbus North, shot 74-78 to tie for seventh at 152.
Annie Anderson, who will be a junior at North, had rounds of 91 and 93 to finish 21st in the girls division with a 184.
Express soccer to hold supplemental tryouts
Columbus Express Soccer Club will hold supplemental tryouts for boys and girls born between 2000 and 2008 that were not able to attend the first tryouts from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and July 26 and 27 at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex Field 8.
